Please note: The membership application process may take several months. Applications are first provided to the membership for a 30-day review period, then considered by the Board. The overall timeline depends on when the application is submitted in relation to scheduled Board meetings.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Pilgrim Doberman Pinscher Club is open to individuals 18 years of age or older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club, the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, and any affiliated chapter, and who support the purposes of this Club.
Annual dues are set by the Board of Directors with approval from the membership and are recorded in the Club minutes. Dues are payable on or before January 1 each year. Members whose dues are not current are not eligible to vote.
Applications for membership must be submitted using the official form approved by the Board of Directors. Applicants must agree to abide by the Club’s Constitution and By-Laws, as well as the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club. Completed applications should be submitted to the Corresponding Secretary at pilgrimdobe@gmail.com.
All applicants will be announced in the meeting notice. Applications are then reviewed by the Board of Directors and voted on for approval.

MEMBER BENEFITS & INVOLVEMENT
As a member of the Pilgrim Doberman Pinscher Club, you have access to valuable resources that support the health and well-being of your Doberman. One of our most important member benefits is access to a Holter monitor rental program. Because Dobermans are at increased risk for dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), routine cardiac screening is essential. Holter monitoring helps detect irregular heart rhythms in the early stages, often before any clinical signs are visible.
We strongly encourage members to begin annual Holter monitoring after two years of age, along with yearly echocardiograms, regardless of results. While purchasing a Holter monitor can be costly, our rental program makes this critical tool more accessible to our members.
Membership also gives you a voice in the future of our club. Members are able to vote and participate in important decisions, including the selection of judges for our events. In addition, we offer many opportunities to get involved, from volunteering at shows and events to contributing your skills through our various committees.
Whether your strengths are in planning, organizing, design, hospitality, or simply lending a helping hand, there is a place for you. Our club thrives on the passion and involvement of its members, and we are always looking for new ideas, energy, and talent to continue growing and improving everything we do.
